Dean suspends 41

Forty-one students in the South Allegheny School District boycotted school Friday to protest the demotion of a school administrator, who then suspended them for three days starting Monday.

“I knew what the consequences would be, and I had to do what I had to do,” said Amanda Potter, 16, a junior at the school in Liberty. “This shows them that we are not kidding around.”

“It’s my job, and the kids were very respectful of that,” he said. “It was very difficult personally.”
